Booked online as we had been gifted a voucher for afternoon tea. Arrived and were asked to find a small table and seat ourselves, told a member of staff would be with us shortly. After 25 mins nothing and my husband had to approach person who appeared to be running the outdoor service. He admitted that we had been forgotten. Our hot drinks order was taken and we were encouraged to view the extra drink menu. Our afternoon tea arrived and was delicious. At no point did anyone come to take a further drinks order and again we had to approach staff. The bill arrived promptly enough and had to explain the voucher as there was apparently to evidence of email and staff on duty communications. Sadly...
Visited for afternoon tea Feb 2024. Lovely meet and greet on arrival and shown to the restaurant. Very impressed with the decor. Food was very tasty with some lovely intense flavours (especially the mushroom ketchup), although scones were quite bland and dry. Tea pots were only half full would have been nice to have been full up without having to ask for second pot (didn't know if we were allowed a second pot). Service was very good, although there was a lack of staff readily available in the dining room if anything was needed. Will re visit for dinner next time. See you soon.
I booked Olio for afternoon tea as a treat for my mum. It was the best afternoon tea I have ever had, and I’ve had my fair share! I’m quite a fussy eater but I can honestly say that every single bit of food was delicious. The sandwiches, the puddings and the scones absolutely divine. It is very expensive, my mum also had 2 glasses of champagne which bumps the price up massively however, in my opinion, afternoon tea is a treat so I don’t mind paying what I paid every now and again as the experience and the food were excellent. I will definitely be booking again.
Breakfast included every day during a 3-night stay: I tried eggs three different ways each day (poached, scrambled, fried) and they were cooked to perfection. As was the medium-rare ribeye steak I ordered one evening when we visited for dinner. Chef was really amazing, as was the friendly front-house service. Restaurant is very quiet mid-week, so be prepared for that sort of chilled and relaxed ambiance.

We had dinner for three. The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully served. Our lovely waitress recommended the gnocchi, which was indeed wonderful. The fish was also very tasty, as were our ice cream desserts. The service was absolutely superb. The atmosphere is very relaxing and pleasant. The place is gorgeous with everything around so green. Highly recommended!
Our family enjoyed a family birthday lunch on Saturday in one of the private lodges on the terrace. It was perfect. Service was excellent, food superb, the room cosy, well decorated and comfortable. Could not have been a better experience. Furthermore beautiful grounds to walk the dogs. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant More
The atmosphere at this restaurant is beautiful, with a very nice dining room. The menu is excellent and the food is delicious and well presented. The staff is attentive and very friendly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for my mother-in-law's birthday. We will definitely be returning soon.
I was surprised by this, I thought it was one of the best roasts I have had from a restaurant in a very long time. Decor great, staff very nice and everything cooked perfectly. Whispering angel and the Belvedere promotion didn’t quite match the surroundings but sweet from that, great.

Quality food, original flavours and really memorable meal in beautiful surroundings. The staff were first class. Thanks to the chef for a wonderful meal.
