Okay. I love real ale, so I'm the place paradies. 12 hand pumps from quality-alo served brightly and in excellent condition. So for me everyone is visiting a mini beer festival. to capture the experience, they have loyalty cards, so every tenth pint they receive free! They also have a series of apple wines from hand pump and for the craft beer enthusiasts there is a great deal. I also spied a good selection of craft bottle beers. there is also an extensive menu. Thursday steak night has become a staple for me. I always opt for the filet steak, which I like cooked blue, and it never disappoints—always high-quality meat cooked to perfection. At just £13.50 for the filet, served with all the trimmings and either a glass of wine or a pint, it’s an excellent value for money! The Sussex Arm is a cozy, traditional pub with a wonderful atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. I highly recommend it!
We visited this restaurant for a pre-rugby lunch and found it to be quite busy, yet the service was outstanding. The food, particularly the burger and fries, was top-notch. If you're a fan of craft beer, this is definitely the place to be; they have an incredible selection and even more options likely available. We'll definitely come back, especially when there isn't a game on, as it’s a great spot to relax over a pint.
Visited the pub for the first time for the beer and cider festival. A company summer Jaunt. The atmosphere was terrific, very friendly with more kegs than you could shake a stick at set up in the garden. Hog roast, an excellent enertainer (sorry didn't get his name, copious amounts if cider can do that) and very friendly bar staff. last night for steak and a pint night. to say it is £13.50 for that is an absolute bargain. the steak was some of the best quality! the personal is brilliant, the service was quickly and exactly cooked to order. I have paid the double price for just one steak at some place and it simply does not compare with the sussex poor steak!
Me and my 19 friends went to steak night for my birthday last week. The steaks were amazing and perfectly cooked complements to the chef. The staff and manager were fantastic. The drinks are always good and what great value for money at only £13.50. Thank you for making my birthday an amazing fun and tasty night!!!
A perfect pub. A wide variety of excellent beer, great food (I’ve just had one of their steak and ale pies), friendly staff, good music (from a few hundred lps stashed by a turntable), cosy interior and a lovely big garden.
