I visited the restaurant on Tuesday, August 10th after reading several reviews. Upon entering, I enthusiastically mentioned that I had heard good things about the restaurant on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately, the owner, Joe, seemed unresponsive and did not acknowledge my comment. He looked at me strangely and did not speak to me at all. None of the other staff engaged in conversation or thanked me for visiting. Regarding the food, the chips were average, the cod was flavorless, and the batter was soggy. The mushy peas were also subpar. At a cost of over £11, I felt that it was a waste of money. As a first-time customer, I expected better service and quality. I am highly disappointed and caution...
I decided to visit this restaurant after hearing all the rave reviews, but unfortunately, I was not impressed. We ordered 2 steak burgers, fish, and a side of chips. The burgers and chips were not good at all, but the fish was okay. Ultimately, we ended up throwing everything away. I regret spending my money here when Steve's restaurant is just around the corner.
Best fish and chips I have EVER had... my local chip shop and the food is always outstanding!! Customer service is excellent and they are always going above and beyond with their service...

My dad introduced me to this chip shop when we moved to the area and i wouldn't go anywhere else. Best chip shop by far and great customer service too!
