I found this place online before a trip to York with my daughter. We ordered small pizza fries and small katsu fries. They were both amazing BUT we didn't even manage 2 thirds of them and I felt so wasteful. I wish we had just got 1 portion but even choosing 2 from the selection was a difficult choice. I'll definitely go again but maybe with more people so I can taste everything. The service was also amazing, there was a 20 minute wait but they give you a pager so you can go and continue looking round the market until it is ready. It was such a busy day but all of the orders were coming out thick and fast and there were lots of happy diners.
Well what can I say…. Restaurant and spend £50 plus for good food OR Try these guys … real street food. Taste 11/10 Personal service with good advice 11/10 We could have spent more and taken advantage of, but ‘ The Boss’ suggested we order less as portion size was big… and yes they were. We shared an amazing burger And the Katsu chicken loaded fries AMAZING 11/10 amazing . These guys should go on Masterchef . I 've had a lot of street food from a lot of places around the country, but nothing prepared me for this! First off, the small portion was more than most places give you in their larges. Second, the flavours and quality of ingredients were off the charts for a food van. The guys running it were friendly, they have those electric buzzers to tell you when the food is ready so there is no queue and you can keep looking around the nearby market. All in all, I can 't fault it on a single thing.
The food is consistently fantastic, the portions are huge, value is amazing when you compare it to the high street chains and quality never disappoints. Christian and his amazing team work very hard to ensure every dish that goes out is tip top. When they are busy, you might have to wait 10 or 15 minutes but it’s worth it because you know you’re getting individually prepared dishes. Visited here today. Food was really really good despite being very busy. My husband and I were so impressed with the thoughtfulness displayed by staff. Staff really went out of their way to make sure the food served was just right for our little grandson. I was told (without asking) what spices etc are normally used and asked if I wanted them omitted. He also served the dish a little cooler. Thank you for going above and beyond.
We had this on our list to visit during our weekend in York and it didn't disappoint! We made the mistake of ordering a small mac and cheese and a large katsu fries to share between two of us...
