I stopped by this restaurant while taking a walk in the park. I ordered two coffees, which were £3 per cup and very small. They were served in tiny paper cups, similar to espresso cups. I felt like it was overpriced. My son ordered a cheese and ham panini, but received a ham salad baguette with cheese spread instead. It wasn't even toasted and definitely didn't resemble a panini. I was disappointed to see the chef/server smoking a cigar while walking around as well. Overall, I was not impressed with my experience.
Decided to treat ourselves to lunch at the lovely Tower Cafe in Leazers Park Newcastle. Friendly staff, great made to order excellent quality and delicious food at very reasonable prices. Sat on the terrace and watched the world go by. Wide range of food on the menu to suit anyone with options for various restricted diets and staff happy to help. Enjoyed the recommended locally made 40KOLA pop. We'll be back next time we're passing and we'd highly recommend it to all.
We have visited the park a few times since lockdown to walk our dogs and now this cafe is our favourite food place to visit in Newcastle. The coffee is amazing and the pizza is delicious and there’s nothing nicer than sitting beside the lake whilst enjoying the lovely food and drink. We had the goats cheese pizza today along with cappuccinos.
We stopped for a coffee and a slice of cake while walking our dog. The coffee was excellent and the two slices of orange cake were delightful. The service was friendly and we even overheard someone saying that it was the best pizza they had ever had. We will definitely be back to try it for ourselves.
