I made a reservation for Sunday lunch for my wife and me, along with two friends who were visiting from London. Unfortunately, our experience at the restaurant was a complete disaster. We waited for over half an hour at our table before someone finally came to take our drink and meal orders, only after I had to get up and call a server over. When our main courses were finished, our table was cleared except for my wife's empty plate. The waiter said he would return to collect it and provide dessert menus, but no one came back. It wasn't until I spoke to a staff member at the bar that we were finally able to order dessert. The restaurant staff seemed to be inexperienced teenagers who were unsu...
Excellent on all counts. Visited yesterday for lunch and chose The View restaurant. Very impressed with the menu, the decor and furnishings and the food was good value and quality. Lovely view, even on a cloudy day and the toilets had a very high class feel to them. We weren't pushed to leave our table and enjoyed coffee afterwards. Very relaxed dining and downstairs, we asked the receptionist of we could see the bar menu for downstairs. It wasn't a bother at all. In fact all staff were welcoming, polite and helpful. I will be coming back for meals and coffee and cake meetings! I have already recommended to family and friends. And I would probably book an overnight stay as the bedrooms look...
1. visit after reading many excellent reviews. you have to say that this place is worth every 5-star rating and more. the interior of the hotel is on highest standard. bar area was very comfortable and relaxing ideal place for a nice quiet drink. restaurant. view is amazing. the personal was very attentive and had a restaurant of the first class. eating was superb every member of our party commented on how good their meal was. I have to say that it means a 5-star rating and some. very recommend this hotel, whether it is for a nice relaxing quiet drink in the bar or a beautiful meal in a restaurant with magnificent views, fantastic staff and tasty eating.
This restaurant is terrible. The food was terrible and tasteless. My two friends mentioned that their meals were cold but didn't want to complain. The restaurant was empty and the servers, who were children, had no idea about basic service. We will not be returning and will stick to the Hydro from now on.

2. visit here to celebrate my man birthday with our family, and it was a fabulous meal and many cocktails that were delicious. our server was kerry and she was just great, happy and smiling. we will definitely be back and recommend this place to our friends. thanks again for another great meal.
Last night here on an itison deal. upgraded in the Sannox room for an extra £40. that's worth it. the hotel is beautiful and our room was amazing. the best we've ever stayed in. the food was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. total 5/5 . will be 100% back x
Tried this beauty of a resturant the view today... the food was outstanding and surroundings gr8. I had red pepper and sweet potato soup. Fish and chips and hot bakewell tart with ice cream. My wife had mushrooms then lasagne. Can 't wait to return. Highly recommend!!!
Just beautiful! We stayed in the Corrie suite. Huge Tv, log fire, fridge with fresh milk,coffee machine,balcony with sea view, luxurious bathroom, evening meal in the restaurant was sublime! Friendly staff, beautiful breakfast....what more could you ask for?? Thankyou!

1st time at this hotel definitely not our last. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Gorgeous rooms and fantastic view from restaurant. Food was amazing and well presented. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others!!!
