Surprised!. I used to live in Carleton Place, and I remember the old Leather Works. It was a fun place for the locals, however it was run down moldy and basically falling into the river!<br/ They place underwent an ownership change, and they put lots of money into a huge renovation of the place.<br/ <br/ The wife and I went with another couple, and we were all pleased! The food was great, the service was very fast and prompt. You cannot beat the view of the river and great Architecture, and they have a great beer list!<br/ <br/ The wife and I liked it so much that we went back again! This is a lovely little place if you visit Carleton Place.<br/ <br/ Did I mention they have a very good line...
Amazing!!. This meal was incredible. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I want to go back and order it again. My wife ordered the poutine and we chared wings and it was all amazing and definetly worth the price. I highly reccomend this restaurant for a nice dinner date. Its beautidul inside and a very friendly atmosphere. <br/ <br/ I deffinetly will be coming back for my dinner the next time im in carleton place. The only thing I dont like about this place is that its too far from my house!
Enjoyed first experience eating there. My husband, daughter and I really enjoyed the food and the patio experience. I had the lonely vegetarian sandwich which I absolutely loved . My husband wolfed down his fish sandwich and fries, my daughter really enjoyed her fish and chips ate nearly all of it! We will be going and enjoying again. Our server was great!
I really like this place. My family and I have eaten there several times since the reno, and have enjoyed every dish we 've tried. Quality food, made with fresh, tasty ingredients, cooked and presented perfectly. It 's definitely a step up from your typical 'pub grub '. I just got home from having dinner there, and I can honestly say I've never had such an amazing meal in Carleton Place. I had chicken wings and they were amazing! The service was excellent and I'll definitely be going back!
We had dinner at the Gastro Pub. The service was amazing. Food was great. Best fish and chips ever. I would recommend this location to all my family and friends.
Good service, food and nice patio; good to have a beer or two and just relax and watch the river flow by; a good place!
