I had a wonderful and fortunate experience dining at The Wheelhouse! The restaurant has a bicycle theme, with various styles of bicycles hanging on the walls near the ceiling. I noticed some cyclists enjoying their meals during their trips, as I was asked if I rode a bike there and saw people passing by with their bikes outside the window. For my meal, I ordered Cheese Curds as an appetizer, the daily special Fried Bologna as the main course, and Bread Pudding for dessert. The dishes were all well-prepared, although a bit on the heavy side. While driving down I74, we stumbled upon this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. We all decided to have burgers with fries, which were delicious. The fries had a choice of dustings, including parmesan and salt and vinegar, both of which were tasty. The parmesan was generously sprinkled on the fries, while the salt and vinegar flavor was more subtle. For dessert, we tried the chocolate cake and pumpkin pie creme brulee, both of which were quite tasty. We will definitely return when passing through St Joseph. The service, meal type, and atmosphere were all top-notch, with prices ranging from $10 to $20 per person. We highly recommend trying the Wheelhouse Burger.

I was in the area and decided to try out this restaurant for some chicken wings. They were the largest wings I have ever seen. They were very meaty. We tried the sweet and spicy wings, which were good but could have used a bit more sweetness and spice, possibly in the form of Asian sauces. Absolutely delicious food every time. Tonight we ordered cheese for our fries. Unbeknownst to the waitress they didn’t have any prepped. The chefs in the back whipped some up for my wife and I on the spot. These folks are amazing. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
