Booked a room in desperation having messed up a booking elsewhere. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. Beer was very well kept. Room was revolting. Sash window was broken and had to be held open with a coat hanger. Situated over the kitchen and the smell of old grease was overwhelming on a hot night. On visiting shower room down a short corridor I nearly brained myself on a low lintel, TWICE no warning signs or padding. You might ask: “What do expect for sixty quid?” more than this! A fab pub and got some great food a real lush as we say in wales a lush place to eat and sleep and what a fab host.. you can walk into any pub and maybe get a welcome or you may be lucky to get someone to chat too ..here we were made welcome straight away farmers, solicitors, etc drinks were bought and it was dam hard trying to give them a drink back. lovely patrons indeed and the staff were attentive at all times, a very lovely welcome and people were 100% lovely as well, the owner is tony and what a chef ...
I visited this pub twice during the Easter bank holiday in 2015. The staff were very welcoming to both me and my Golden Retriever, even providing a water bowl for my dog. On the second visit, I had fish and chips with mushy peas. The fish was delicious and large enough to share between two people. The drinks were reasonably priced and overall, a great dining experience. I will definitely be visiting again on my next camping trip.
Avoid awful food hot food served on cold plates tasteless, mash potatoes were like powdered smash carrots most definitely seen better days roast potatoes seemed like they had been deep fried and when trying to cut in half I nearly took my sons eye out as it shot off the plate. We went here for food on our way to snowdonia! Amazing customer service. Food was lush! Friendly staff! If ever we back in that neck of the woods we will come back! :
