WORST restaurant I've ever been to before. Family of 4 and the price was well over $100 and hands down the worst food I've ever had, extremely bland and not worth the prices they're charging, the service was mediocre. Had to ask 2 times for a refill on a drink, didn't get it until we got the bill so it wasn't even worth getting at that point because we just wanted to leave. The server simply disappeared and we had to get up and go find someone just to get a condiment for our meal. When she sparingly did come to the table, she didn't stay long enough to listen to what we wanted (ordered 2 glasses of water while she was 6 feet away and still walking away from us). Unbelievable. We used to go quite often for the Pork Souvlaki and the waiting staff were really nice and attentive.It seemed like a very good, reasonably priced restaurant, but unfortunately we started to notice the quality and freshness of the food we were ordering was becoming inconsistent.The other thing I want to mention is the salad that comes with the Souvlaki.My wife and I would regularly bite onto what seemed like tiny pieces of grit/stone to me when eating that salad, and the very last time I was there and eating that salad, I bit onto a much larger piece of something that took a huge chip out of my upper front tooth.I mentioned it to them when I was paying my bill, and they seemed uninterested a...
Finally stopped in at this place after driving past it for so many years. Arrived around 530 pm and we were seated right away. Our server was fast and got our drinks and food order. I had the maple salmon and my husband had the baby beef liver. The food arrived promptly and was piping hot, on nice warm plates. It was delicious! And very generous portions. Thank you Thruway for the delicious meals! We will be back!
During my travels, I prefer to avoid chain restaurants and seek out local dining options. I found a nice, clean place with friendly service that was bustling on a busy long weekend Monday. They offered a wide variety of breakfast options, including regular dishes as well as sandwiches and wraps. The food was served quickly and hot. I’ll definitely stop by again on my next visit. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and managed to get all 8 of our orders right. The food arrived piping hot and was absolutely delicious. As for kid-friendliness, my grandson was thrilled to have chicken nuggets and fries, which is pretty much all he eats, and he said it was really good.
The food was awful, BLT had no bacon, the tomatoes were spongey and the coleslaw was dry, basically just shredded cabbage and carrots with no dressing. When we showed and told about the missing ingredients there was no compensation offered. All of our orders were awful.
We've been living in Carleton Place for a while, and this restaurant has proven to be the most dependable option for both dining in and takeout. I highly recommend their breakfast takeaway. Thank you!
