We did not know that this place only serves pork based dishes. I don’t eat pork but my friend loves pork so we stayed. We had the neck bone soup Gam Ja Tang with ofc Pork . He really enjoyed the neck bone soup. He said he would return bc the flavor was good but eating the neck meat was very difficult and too much work. So next time no neck bone soup. The side dishes were really limited with just 3 (cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, and pickled radish in soy sauce and vinegar and sugar) and yet the sign says “we do not wrap up leftover side dishes” even tho there aren’t many side dishes . Maybe ppl abuse that but the kimchi wasn’t very tasty. But we also stayed bc our waiter David was very nice...
This is the first place I visited for my husband who loves rice soup. The inside of the restaurant is clean and the staff are all friendly and welcoming. All of the sundae gukbap, pork gukbap, and sundae we ordered were so delicious, and the portions were generous, so we were able to have a satisfying meal. In particular, the kimchi was so excellent that I wanted to buy it like a chimney... I came out in a good mood, vowing to visit again when I stop by Chicago.
I've always loved visiting this restaurant for their delicious broth dishes. Unfortunately, my last experience left me feeling unwell. Everyone at my table who ordered the same dish got sick. Since then, I haven't gone back. I really hope it was just a one-time occurrence. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating, so I plan to visit again soon.
I like all the gamja tang, kimchi jjigae, and have Jang guk here. Especially, soon dae is so delicious. I heard that they make soon dae every day. It's really full of sincerity. The staff are friendly. I ordered a set meal of sundae soup, but the sundae that came out separately was too dry and undercooked, so I was disappointed that it tasted like flour. The kimchi and kkakdugi were delicious. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Pork soup, sundae soup, and pork soup are really neat and the side dishes are delicious! I really want to eat stir-fried sundae, but every time I go, it's on the menu, but I'm disappointed that it's not there. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
I always order sundae soup and gamjatang here because they are incredibly delicious! Their kimchi is also the best I've ever had... truly amazing! Additionally, the staff are very friendly. I highly, highly recommend this place!
We ordered the dak dori jeonggol and soondae for dinner. The dak dori jeonggol is the best in town!
