Friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service, mostly good food. Intentionally went early to avoid crowds and noise. Worked well! Celebrated my wife's birthday here this year as a treat. Walleye fillet tasteless and a rather small portion; filet mignon beyond excellent. Wife wished there had been more of it! Pot pie good size for large eater; good taste and flakey crust. Tasty dessert pudding a lovely ending. Moved to the bar for a night cap and quiet conversation. One server, attempting to be friendly, I'm certain, has a much-too-loud voice for the small area. Also, twice too pushy when nearly demanding my wife hurry and finish her drink so she would order another. Not funny. This attitude...
Wonderful Restaurant Week experience. We ordered wild mushroom soup, which we both loved and will definitely have again, for our first course. I had grilled salmon for my main and it was amazing. The kind of dish that you crave and that causes you to return to a restaurant. Seriously, it was that good. My husband ordered filet Oscar, and he loved it. I had a taste and the filet was melt in your mouth tender. Really delicious. For dessert we both had a pear bread pudding that was so delicious with nice chunks of pear. Our service was stellar and very professional. We recommend Tria and have it on our radar now for special occasion meals.
In general our meals were very good. The steaks were done perfectly. The only issue I have with the food was my dessert. My chocolate ganache cake was the driest cake I have ever had...and I 've eaten a lot of cake in my 60+ years! I probably should have rejected it but my 'MN Nice ' kicked in! Fortunately, it was ala mode which made it somewhat tolerable. The other issue was our server...he wasn 't really 'bad '...he just didn 't seem to care about us as customers. With that being said, we will probably give Tria another opportunity to impress us this summer.
Meine Frau und ich lieben Tria für jeden Anlass. Essen, Service, Ambiente sind immer überdurchschnittlich. Ich kann nicht genug GUT über Tria sagen. Wir haben hier zu Geburtstagen, Jubiläen, Verabredungen und Bräutigamessen gegessen und waren immer mehr als zufrieden. Montag, Mittwoch, Freitag oder Samstag ... es ist immer erstklassig. Hands down we will be returning to this restaurant! We went for restaurant week and they did not disappoint. From the starter through to the dessert they knocked our socks off! They have exceptional food and service to match. The timing of the various courses was perfect and the drinks delicious! I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to others!
tired menu, my steak is always raw and not cooked medium rare, kartoffel always cold, and the wedge salat is an overpriced $10 witz. this time I hardly got a 1/4 head salad and a few chips of something I guess is speck.
