This dessert spot in Oakland offers a wide variety of options to choose from. It can be difficult to decide on just one item to try, but a major selling point is that they serve Lady M's crepe cakes. The price for a slice is $13, which is slightly higher than the $10.80 price at the flagship Lady M store in San Jose's Valley Fair Mall. However, the convenience of having this option in Oakland and only paying a little extra is definitely worth it. I tried the mango binsoo and sticky rice, which were delicious and reasonably priced. I would definitely return to this spot. Just be sure not to confuse it with U Dessert Story in Berkeley, as this place is far superior.
Came here on a whim for dessert after dinner in Jack London Square. Street parking was pretty easy to find nearby as most of Chinatown was closed for the evening.There's a ton of options to choose from on the menu, whether you're looking for cold or hot, cake (such as Lady M cake slices) or paste (like sesame paste). Service was quick and efficient. Ambiance-wise, it's nothing too fancy inside.I opted for the Mango Grass Jelly with Coconut Sauce. it came out cold and refreshing. It wasn't too sweet and didn't feel heavy. I enjoyed it. Prices are reasonable too. I would be back if I was in the area.
The desserts are tasty and decent, however, the service is slow and there is not enough staff. It took them 10 minutes to inform me that they ran out of an ingredient after I had already been seated and placed my order. Despite not being very busy, the slow service was disappointing. This was my third visit to this restaurant. The interior could use some updating as it feels outdated compared to other Asian dessert chains. The atmosphere is stuffy and could benefit from improved ventilation and air circulation.

This place is a little hard to find because my gps keeps telling me to park first. But it's on the outside of the plaza. This place is a great desert spot, and filled up around 7 or 8pm (after dinner). When we got there it was pretty empty. Deserts were really reasonably priced compared to others, and really good. Service was way more available when it was empty, but as people kept coming in, it got hectic. There was only one server and he told us to wait to pay, kindly. It is a small space for sure
My sister and I were exploring and trying new things. Vibes in this space are chill and positive and the avocado smoothie was really a yummy but not too sweet. The other dessert the server helped us pick out which I always appreciate : we ended up getting a yummy dresser that had mango, black sticky riced and chia seeds and coconut that also was refreshing with a light sweetness. The black sticky rice is *chefs kiss* and makes the dish. Definitely check out.
UC Dessert emits sweetness—from the delicate wisps of sugary goodness in the air to the beautiful delicacies and the very kind staff. The menu is deliciousness embodied, from the Mango Matcha Latte with its fresh fruit goodness to the Matcha Mocha, pure yummy-ness in a cup. Also, fun to see community members of different ages excited to all be here.
This place has a vast array of absolutely delicious and amazing desserts! It was difficult to choose just one thing! The server was so nice! The pricing was very reasonable. I am just sad we didn't discover this little place until our last night!
