Atmosphere was cozy, even with the open space. My lasagna was delicious, but Caesar salad was lacking flavor, maybe dressing was watered down? The lettuce looked covered and not soggy, but had little flavor. A couple of people in my party ordered the Smashburger and were excited about truffle fries. They were the worst!!!! 10/10 would not recommend! I tried them! They tasted like you fried Idaho brand potatoes two days ago, put them in the fridge and tossed them in an air fryer and said they are acceptable and served with Heinz. Service? Meh. Our sever was nice and pleasant, but lacked experience... Overall I wouldn 't blame her, but kitchen.Oh, and there was experience of some dude walking...
This was my first time dining here, and I have to say that the food was excellent, the wine was wonderful, and the espresso martini was hands down the best I've ever had! I ordered the 8 oz filet, cooked as recommended by the chef, while my husband chose the lasagna. We both enjoyed the Caesar salad with our entrees; it was light and not overly heavy, which was just perfect. Everything was incredibly tasty! I’m still raving about how delicious the espresso martini was! The only downside was that our menu had a piece of lettuce on it, which was a bit off-putting. I came in a little early and wanted take out. They were very kind and obliged me. I got a smash burger. It was very good. The fries were great too. It was not just a normal burger. It was juicy and used white cheese. It was a surprise and and a very nice one.
My wife and I have dined at Vangel’s multiple times. The food is always consistent and delicious. From hostess Amelia to the proprietor Louie, the hospitality is relaxed and fun. Enjoyable experience!
