I have been wanting to try Villa Nova pizza for a few years. They first came to my attention, when they were featured on Chicago 's best. I 'm originally from Chicago, but live in California now, and haven 't had a chance to try them. I finally got a chance to try them on my current visit home. Let me tell you, this pizza was delicious. There was a place my dad use to get pizza from, called Ray 's pizza on the Southside, and I have been chasing that taste for years. I finally found it at villa nova pizza. The ingredients, crust, and taste were top notch. I went to the location in Stickney. The staff was friendly and looked like they were having a great time. Great pizza! One of the best, but their hours suck. They used to be open until 12am daily basically. Now it's 9pm weekdays 10pm Friday Saturday. I'm a nightshift worker. So their hours have me ordering way less than I used to. Also their across the board delivery fee is ridiculous at $6. I now try to pick it up myself if I can. Awesome tavern style pizza though. Beyond dissatisfied, ordered fries that came in a tin pan with just a handful of fries whole tin pan basically empty, same went for the breaded mushrooms and marinara sauce tasted like salsa and had a nasty aftertaste. Pizza slices are small and seem like frozen pizza not homemade at restaurant. For the price definitely not worth it. Go somewhere else. Meal type: Dinner

Have been excited to try for a while, did last week wish we ordered more... so good and I've been eating good chicago pizza for this current life 40 years. Better late than never!!! Got a sausage green pep. 10/10.
Still the best pizza around. The cheese and sausage is some of the best I've had. Even after 5 years of ordering from them it's still solid.
