This restaurant came so highly recommended to our group last night. Unfortunately, it was a little underwhelming. This was my second time to have a Tagine cooked meal. I was completely unimpressed with the description of this seafood Tagine. Unfortunately , my meal came out with six bites of salmon and a ton of celery, a few carrots... this dish was missing 75% of the description on the menu. And the portion was absolutely ridiculously small. The restaurant is in a nice location on the main street in San Clemente parking is street parking . It is a tiny restaurant we noticed that the front door has to be left open at all times in order to have the air vent with the amount of people that are...
Unfortunately, I must share that this fantastic restaurant has shut down after many years in business. We visited yesterday and found a letter on the door dated May 28, announcing the closure. We particularly loved the Moroccan dishes on the menu. We are grateful to the restaurant for introducing us to the unique and delicious flavors of Tagine dishes, which we now often recreate at home. Farewell VMR, we will miss you.
This restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but don't let that fool you - the food is fantastic. Despite its unassuming appearance, the restaurant was busy when we visited. We opted to dine at one of the two outdoor tables. The service was excellent, with friendly staff who clearly value your patronage. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect score of 5.
Why did I give this restaurant 5 stars? Because it is a charming family-run establishment that offers great value, delicious food, and a wonderful selection. This restaurant in South Carolina is my favorite. The amazing atmosphere gives off a vibe of being in Italy or France when you walk in. The food is all fantastic and the service is outstanding. The chef-owner really pays attention to every little detail. I highly recommend dining here for dinner.
This restaurant is a hidden gem! It offers a cozy atmosphere and amazing food. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Don't worry, they won't make you do your own dishes. Overall, I highly recommend checking out this place!
