Enjoyed a mid week dinner at Waterfront with my husband for his birthday. The waiter was very polite and friendly. We shared the pork belly for entree and the waiter immediately offered 2 plates noticing that we must be sharing having only ordered the one entree. It was absolutely beautiful, melt in the mouth, cooked perfectly. For main we both had the scotch fillet with mushroom sauce and shared a side of broccoli in oyster sauce. I don't normally enjoy broccoli, but whatever they cooked it with made it delicious! We stopped by Thursday afternoon for drinks, ending up staying for a meal. David our waiter went above and beyond our expectations. We came back for dinner that night, there were 8 adults, all was good, Food and service was fantastic. They really did look after us, great table outside near the heater. We had 2 tables together and had a great time. Came back again Saturday night, just the 2 of us this time, loved the pork belly, prawn cocktail, mussels in sauce were great. Been here a few times and whilst the Service, Views and Atmosphere are all terrific, the things that lets this restaurant down are the variable standard of food, and the price. Not sure if we were unlucky enough to have experienced changes in Chefs the four times we have been there, but our first experience there about 2 years ago had us returning the following week, it was that good. Third time we went about a year ago, we gave them the benefit of the doubt that they had an off night - prawns that were served were on the turn, and were sent back even through the waiter had said the chef said they were OK - and we returned for a fourth time about 3 weeks ago, which was just OK, and we noted...
What an experience, warm, friendly, exceptional service with a beautiful outlook over the yarra river in the heart of melbourne. From the time we entered we were attended to by Paolo ( Paul) a young italian man whom made our lunch memorable with his wit, understanding and unobtrusive service. The restaurant is essentially seafood, with other options available, excellent food cooked to our taste was not a problem, wine and alcohol choices eere extensive. We were relaxed and not pushed at any stage, we will certainly return again. Pricing is at the upper end of the scale for both food and alcohol but well worth it, we had a lovely afternoon.

with 4 members of the family all starting new jobs we decided to celebrate at the Waterfront. Scallops were lovely, I had the salmon Wellington which was beautifully cooked My wife had Salmon and was very pleased with the ,meal One non seafood eater had a steak which was really melt in the mouth tender. Grandkids had fish and chips which they seemed to enjoy Quality of the meal was great. We sat in the outdoor area on a freezing cold night but the heaters done a really good job so we felt quite comfortable
We went to the Waterfront to celebrate a birthday and again we're not disappointed. We started with oysters which were absolutely beautiful! Our lovely waiter suggested and recommended the Sushi and Sashimi Platter. We were not disappointed. The platter was beautifully presented and everything was perfect! We finished with deserts. Sticky Date and the Lemon Macarons. Again both were fantastic. Would highly recommend the Waterfront.
Went to the Southbank restaurant after walking out of a very disappointing lunch at the Port Melbourne restaurant - there is no comparison! The Southbank venue is excellent. the Service was spot on and was a great experience whereas the Port Melbourne venue was horrifying. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
Service and food here is beyond reproach. Dinner for two and were shown to a lovely cubicle. Wine list good. Food was superb. Overall a memorable experience.
