Stopped in for lunch and ordered the New south west style burger. Patty, bacon, fried onions, hot peppers & chipotle sauce...thinking this would be good....it was terrible, Pickles were too strong with vinegar, chipotle sauce had no flavour, burger was burnt as was the bun which I could not even cut through. I removed the bun from the burger in the hopes or salvaging some of my meal.. Removed the hot peppers and ate them separate, ate the bacon separate and then ate the rest of the burnt, tasteless burger. I had ordered an order of Onion rings to go with my meal, they were also grossly overcooked and hard. My husband had the Club with coldslaw....a much better choice than mine. Bottom line i...
Went for a nice family breakfast a couple days ago, on Sunday morning.... If we ordered anything complicated I am pretty sure we would still be waiting.I really didn't understand why the service was so slow, my niece ordered a grilled cheese and it still took 30 minutes to arrive.However, the food was good Wimpy's diner food, I enjoyed my Eggs Benedict and the others enjoyed their food too.On a side note, there was this creepy looking old guy in shorts and a gray t-shirt wandering around the restaurant, he looked to be helping out, he may have been the owner or a manager, but he looked like an unwashed homeless guy.... IMO if you are helping out, especially in a restaurant you should look li...
There are some regulars who meet here every Sunday morning at 8AM for breakfast. Once in a while I join them but it is almost a 2 hour drive to get there. Anyway this particular restaurant is very good. The main gal serves us very well and keeps the coffee flowing. I had a BLT this time and it was chocker block full of bacon, along with tomato, lettuce and mayo. It was held together with two wooden stakes and was so big, I hardly got my mouth around it. There was a side order of nice and creamy cole slaw. The toast for the sandwich was slightly overcooked but was OK. All for under $10.00. The staff are very attentive and friendly. I normally order a 2 piece Halibut and chips which they prepare Splendidly. Better than Sirens did in Thornton. The price is very reasonable too. The ambiance is very groovy and keeps me occupied while awaiting my meal for about 10-15 mins. I enjoy a good chinwag with the staff and the tv's there too to watch. Fun casual, peaceful place. We ate here for dinner, 3 people, $40. I had the all day breakfast, one of the kids had a caesar wrap and the other had poutine. The meals were typical diner fare, large portions, decent quality. Nothing awesome, but filling and what you should expect from a diner. The staff were quite pleasant and it didn't take too long to for service. Would stop here again.
My daughter and I used to love their chicken fingers and fries. The portion was so large we would just get and order to share. Under the new management the portion was so small we left hungry. Four chicken strips and literally a handful of fries for $10.We won't be going back.
We eat here quite often when we are meeting with friends. Good food, good prices and very kid friendly! They never nickel and dime you with substitutions and the place is immaculate! The new owners are very nice - great family choice!

Good food at reasonable prices. Portions are quite plentiful. Friendly and quick service. Their omelettes and famous burgers are some of my go-to meals.
