We had spent in Brixen one week and were so lucky to discover Winkelstueberl on the third day. We had there the best Greek salad ever and just delicious pizza. On the 2nd day we discovered that Greek salad was not the only one good choice when it comes to salads and we did confirm that pizza was even better than in Italy ☺ We ended up with really tasty apfelstrudel. During our third and unfortunately last visit we had a chance to try fish and it didn’t disappoint us at all! Exceptional and charming service!!! Great white wine! Amazing atmosphere - we enjoyed each of the evenings we spent there so much! It’s just a great mix of Italian and Austrian cuisine. We’re looking forward to come back,...
We had a dinner in Winkelstüberl tonight. To be honest, it wasn`t the best choice we`ve made during our stay in Brixen i.T. The place is quiet and cosy with very nice interior and friendly staff. But that`s obviously not enough for a full success. It`s worse if it goes about the food. Maybe it`s only my bad luck, but the fried cemmembert with cranberry was not quite what I expected (tasteless and just... odd) and the "Mix Grill" wasn`t worth it`s price. After all, Wnkelstüberl is a good place to sit, chat with friends, have a beer but if you`re really hungry - you better choose somewhere else.
Die hausgemachten Mahlzeiten und Desserts waren jenseits jeglicher Beschreibung. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, wie alt die Rezepte sind, aber sie ist ein Genie. Einfach, aber so schmackhaft und authentisch. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder. Ich habe es geliebt mit jeder Faser meines Körpers ;)
This is a traditional family restaurant with great heritage, excellent service and extraordinary cooking. The owner is also the Chef and he always manages to deliver. We pay a visit to the Winklstüberl at least once, each time we are in Brixen. Very much recommended!

Wir hatten eine gute Mahlzeit im Winkelsteuberl (Schnitzel) zu einem fairen Preis. Wir sind vom Zentrum von Brixen gelaufen, was ein langer Spaziergang (15 Minuten) ist. Der Ort hat eine entspannte Atmosphäre und der Besitzer ist ein freundlicher Kerl.
Ich ging dorthin in der Hoffnung auf gutes traditionelles österreichisches Essen, aber das Wiener Schnitzel sah aus wie von einem Schnellrestaurant. Auf der positiven Seite konnte man draußen im Schatten sitzen.
This is a great restaurant. High quality food, very friendly service. We've been going to Brixen since 1976 and this is the restaurant we always go back to.
