In terms of flavor, I preferred the Beef Kimbap over the Spicy Pork, which I found to be lacking in spice. The Caterpillar Roll was what you'd typically expect from a sushi restaurant: essentially a California roll topped with avocado and eel, drizzled with eel/teriyaki sauce.
For the create-your-own bento boxes, you select a protein, a salad, two sides, and a sauce. I chose: (1) Miso Salmon with egg salad, white rice, daikon, and potato croquette accompanied by miso gochujang; and (2) Beef Bulgogi with cabbage salad, forbidden purple rice, and tamago (sweet egg) with house dressing. Once again, the portions were quite generous! I actually enjoyed the sides and salads more than the protein...
Yugo Box is absolutely fantastic! I tried the Bulgogi Impossibowl, Kimchi Fried Impossibowl, Caterpillar Roll, Avocado Roll, Black Bean Impossibowl, and a few others, but those were definitely my favorites! Everything was delicious, and I especially appreciated how fresh the ingredients were. I can’t wait to keep ordering from Yugo Box in the future. Thank you for the wonderful food and great service!
Good but has the potential to be better. I ordered the bulgogi bowl and assorted pleasure. LOVE that they use impossible meat but the bulgogi bowl was a little dry and served cold? I added the spicy mayo to it and it was better. The appetizer was also a little cold, so not as crispy as I would’ve liked. flavor is good but there is room for improvement. Also, would love to see brown rice as an option!
This is one of the best bento boxes I've had in a long time. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys Japanese-style lunches!
