The employees are so friendly, the selection is diverse, and the menu includes sandwiches (there is a figgy sandwich special that sounds delicious), coffees, ice cream and more. This is my girlfriend's favorite, and she says ONLY, place to get black licorice icecream around here. Being that they also sell icecream in pints and quarts, my GF went with a quart and let me taste some. Expecting a overwhelming strong licorice taste, I found it unexpectedly very tasty! I myself also ordered a cup of cookies n cream and enjoyed it very much. Cant wait to go back and try other menu items! I forgot to mention, they have a Drive-Thru as well as inside area!!
What a cool place! I'm from Southern California and was visiting the Seattle area for five days to see my sister. I stopped by Auntie Irene's three times. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. The staff is both cordial and efficient and they serve great coffee. I enjoyed a tasty sandwich one day and some of their delicious pastries on my other two visits. I could not help but notice that the owner was exactly what an owner should be present, helping her staff, and seeing to things in general. I plan on going back to Auntie Irene's the next time I visit my sister.
Auntie Irene’s came highly recommended to me so I had to check it out. I was impressed with their coffee flavors and sugar free offerings for drinks. Their pastries looked so good and I really wanted to try them but I’ve been careful to avoid carbs. The staff were awesome and welcoming and the owner was working behind the counter too. The parking situation was great with ample places to park even though things were busy. I’ll be happy to go back and try new flavors of drinks and enjoy the views looking out toward the marina
When you take 3 minutes before closing to get 2 scoops of ice cream for the car in front, don 't condescendingly say, I 'm sorry we 're closed. At least own the fact that you didn 't want to take another order so you dragged your feet. Full disclosure, I love this place. The workers are usually great and we have awesome service. They have breakfast and lunch options, sandwiches, pastries, ice cream, milkshakes, and more. They do all of those well, can't really go wrong anything. Service is great, and on top it all, they have a drive through. One thing to keep in mind is during certain times they can get pretty busy, so be mindful that your order may take longer than usual. Pro-tip: You can call ahead and order here. Well deserved 5 stars from me, I'll go out of my way to pick up food here.
Absolutely love this place for my morning stop of coffee and getting a breakfast bagel. I highly recommend the staff is great, the food and coffee is outstanding. Best coffee stand in Des Moines. I typically order the ham/sausage breakfast bagel with my usual white chocolate mocha. They also have a delicious milkshake made with real ice cream.
I LOVE Auntie Irene's. I order from here in the mornings sometimes, and it's the perfect start to my day. Delicious burritos and bagel sandwiches, excellent drinks, and I even get really sweet notes on the bag from the staff sometimes. Thanks for really giving me that morning pick-me-up.

We visited this coffee shop during a recent trip down South and had coffee and breakfast. All I have to say is WOW, the food, coffee and views are fantastic. You will not be disappointed.
