Not the best experience or food if I am totally honest. As I entered the bar area i didn't quite know where the restaurant was, there were no signs.. I walked further down and could see the restaurant. I waited at the front to be seen to but no-one approached me, so i made my way back to the bar and explained i had a booking. I was told to take a seat at the bar. As i was waiting I could see guests were leaving after a wake. The staff were attentive, friendly if a little slow on service. Waited a while for our drinks. I opted for 'baked ' camembert as my starter. Oh dear! Definitely was not. First appearance, I thought it was soup and they 'd got my order wrong. Just a bowl which clearly been microwaved. Basically, melted cheese in a bowl. Not impressed. However, the lamb shank was very good, though mash portion small and gravy not made properly, still full of granules. My husband had meatballs for starter, portion was small, sauce hot but meatballs warm at best. 2 of our party of 4 had lamb cutlets. Shocking behaviour. Booked for the 2nd year for Boxing day and closed both times. 1st time they blamed Covid (understandable) but this year it was booked a month before, and phoned to confirm the booking a couple of days before the day, and told all ok. Arrived and completely in darkness. Not even a phone call (you had my number) to say they are not going to be open. How to ruin someone's Birthday 2 years running. £40 paid for a taxi and nothing to show for it. You can't complain you are not busy, when you treat customers so badly.
The venue was almost empty when we arrived at 1300 on a Sunday. Huge restaurant took a while to order. Though waiter gave us about 15 seconds before asking for drinks order! My starter of fried calamari felt like it came out about 30 seconds too early. My main was a veal Daltimbovca, the Italian ham used was too salty and massively impacted upon the flavour. The potatoes and veg were very nice. My partner did enjoy her main and starter. For dessert I had exceptionally good pancakes!

Wow what a fab night Really loved the venue, so much food (which was really nice too) Staff absolutely lovely thinking this will be our new go to Going to try one of their tributes nights too HIGHLY recommended all round loved it
Ordered a take away meal for family celebration. Service excellent and food as good as in the restaurant. A great alternative when family not well enough to go out. Made the day special
good service, good food and wine, we were all very happy with everything, we all had something different, and we all enjoyed what we had, there is also plenty of parking.
Ate here two weeks in a row, lovely food and very clean dining area. Staff very good and prices very reasonable too. Will definitely visit again soon

Had a lovely meal here yesterday. Food was well cooked, delicious and plentiful. Excellent service and value. Will be back soon.
