Strip mall pizza/bar joint that reminds me of Davanni’s or Broadway Pizza, but I’m sorry as others have pointed out the service here is terrible... horrible. It’s pretty normal to wait and stare at the bartender or waitress for 20+ minutes while they are hobknobbing with regulars or texting on their phone or just spaced out. It’s worse than Walgreens a few blocks away. I’ve been here 4-5 times and experienced this with Janelle at least twice, and others. The first time she apologized profusely and asked if I “hated” her because of it but the second time we kinda know what her habits are. We got to chanticlear at about 5pm and sat ourselves as the sign said. We waited 25 mins before someone took our drink and appetizer order and that was only after a member of our party of 3 went to find a member of wait staff. The 4th person in our party arrived 10 mins later and placed their drink order. After 20mins their drink had not come to the table. I approached the bar to ask if we could get the drink our table was waiting on and our server was taking shots with a customer. I have no problems with people letting loose at work take shots i don't care, but we'd been waiting almost an hour and our food order hadn't been taken and we were waiting on drinks. The food and service are fantastic, atmosphere can be loud at times. If the music was at half the volume it is on Friday and Saturdays, it would be great.Pizza is some of the best the twin cities has... and don't knock the celery on your pizza until you've had it.

Even though I have never tried the pizza, I have experience with almost everything else on the menu and the food and service are consistently excellent. The delivery is speedy (often arriving early) and the food is always served hot. Many thanks!
I had a great time at this restaurant. I always thought it was just a regular pizza place, but it turned out to be so much more. They have a full service bar and offer pull tabs. The pizza was delicious and there was also great music playing.
It's disappointing that I have to pay a fee to use a card at this restaurant. It seems like they are passing on the cost of doing business directly to the customer. Paying $2.00 just to use a card is unnecessary.
I recently got takeout from this place. It has a relaxed bar and dining vibe. The pizza was delicious and flavorful. However, I found it to be a bit pricey for the type of pizza I ordered.

would not recommend this place for delivery if they have young children that they do not supply food from the Dörfchen menu to their home. very disappointing.
Really enjoyed the pizza was very good. Was my families first time at Chanticlear. It will not be our last!!!!
