This restaurant serves delicious and comforting home-cooked meals at an affordable price. The service is excellent and very welcoming. On my first visit, I had a takeaway order and they accidentally forgot an item I had paid for. Despite returning weeks later for my second visit, the staff member at the counter remembered the incident, rectified the mistake, and deducted the cost from my meal. If it weren't for my inability to eat spicy food regularly, I would definitely frequent this place often for their delicious dishes.
This was our first time having Sri Lankan cuisine and this restaurant was the perfect place to start. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. He helped us pick our meals and adapted it a little to help with the spiciness typical of Sri Lankan food. We ordered Chicken rolls, chicken from the grill, rice and plain roti. It was all very well prepared! We will definitely be back to try something different!

This restaurant in Melbourne is definitely one of the best Sri Lankan restaurants. I have been coming here for a few years now and the food is authentic and delicious. Their rice and curry lunch, lamprais, and Sri Lankan style chicken fried rice are all great value for money. I highly recommend this place.

After traveling from Canberra, we stumbled upon Hop Spice and were delighted with the absolutely delicious food that was fresh, succulent, and tasty. The staff were also lovely, so we will make sure to go out of our way to eat here again when in Melbourne. Thank you for a wonderful meal!
