I tried the wagyu don with chicken katsu curry at Dokutoku. The wagyu was cooked to perfection, tender and subtly sweet with the sukiyaki sauce, although I did notice some pieces of fat instead of the usual even marbling. The chicken katsu curry was a bit unusual; while the chicken was wonderfully crispy and the portion size was much larger than the wagyu, the curry had a slightly sour flavor that didn't quite meet my expectations. The restaurant itself had a modern and cozy vibe with its wooden theme and decor, though the atmosphere was somewhat smoky inside.
