On vacation in the area and decided to try this Mexican restaurant after reading some reviews on Yelp. I will say that this is an Authentic style of Mexican food, but I will also say that we weren't enamored either. Ambience is minimal at best, seems the restaurant was something different in the past, not sure what but it is pretty apparent. The food was pretty good but very hot in flavor, authentic, as I said earlier....the waitress was adequate but was unable to provide much info regarding the menu. The place was nice, we got there before it got packed so we got a nice table. It was karaoke night but you were still able to have a nice conversation without yelling to your companion. Food was good. We ordered the Pulpo a la parrilla and the Torre de mariscos the plates were huge and we couldn't even finish the food. The trio Margarita was also delicious perfect if you like to try different flavors
The food is hearty and delicious! However, I found the atmosphere a bit too loud for my liking. On the bright side, the dishes are quite flavorful. The guacamole is fresh and well-seasoned, and they are very generous with their seafood portions. Overall, I would rate the food a 4 out of 5.

Found El Marisquero Bar Grill on the El Monte page it was so worth it! The food was great the staff are very accommodating. The restaurant was very clean, the menu was kid-friendly the beer was ice cold till the very last drop. I will definitely be back.Food: 5/5
