Excellent is barely an adequate word to use to describe my meal today. Loved the Pop 'n chicken, or whatever it 's fancy name is. I got it Southern style 'cause well, it was Sunday, and I just wanted to pay homage to my Granny. Anyway, they gave me enough fries to feed a table of 6, I think. And the ranch dressing was fresh, and at least tasted homemade, a perfect compliment to the chicken and the fries. Enjoyed their cane sugar cola, as well. Service was friendly! Definitely the kind of place to enjoy with friends for a Sunday lunch.
Attention vegans: Be cautious! I ordered the Vegan Chick?un sandwich and was given something that tasted like real chicken. I informed an employee about this and he insisted it was vegan. Not convinced, I had a friend try it and they verified that it was real chicken. As a strict vegetarian, this was a troubling experience. The staff should be more diligent in ensuring they serve the correct items to customers, especially when offering vegan options. I will not be returning.
This is the best chicken sandwich I have ever had in my life. It was perfectly seasoned, the staff were amazing, and the portions were large. I also tried the fish in the photo and there was still so much left even after eating most of it. Despite the high number of customers, the staff remained friendly and quick. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
Food was excellent. The only reason I?m not giving this place 5 stars is the cleanliness of the place. No tables were wiped down the whole time we were there except ours when we asked. Eugene's Hot Chicken is a perfect restaurant. The chicken is delicious. The line could be long, but it's worth waiting. We also enjoyed the environment. The salad was fresh and delicious. The fried chicken was perfectly cooked. I recommend you try them at any time you want a delicious roasted chicken.
Best chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life. Very well seasoned, amazing staff and large portions. I had eaten most fish in the photo, and it was so much. Although there was a crazy crowd of customers, the employees were still very friendly and very fast! I definitely come back.
This has that hole in the wall feel some of you are seeking. Smaller venue. In and outdoor seating. There are tasty restaurants near this one, but this one was our favorite. If you want to convince your kids, how can you go wrong with chicken and waffles?! Yum sums it up.

I ordered the 1/4 dark meal with mild spice level, and it was absolutely delicious! The mild heat was just right for me, with the perfect balance of spices and a hint of sweetness. My only criticism was the coleslaw, which seemed a bit wilted and brown.
