This place is incredible! Everyone should eat here immediately. I ordered beef jerky and spicy lentils, and I asked the man at the counter to choose an Ethiopian beer for me. He returned with St. George, which was absolutely delicious. Throughout my visit, he was extremely friendly and welcoming. My meal exceeded my expectations; the portion size was generous and came with a side of injera. The food was served hot, and the quality was outstanding. I ended up ordering a second beer. Authentic, no frills hole in the wall. The shared platter is the way to go if you come here with a group. Absolutely everything was delicious, and everybody was stuffed at the end (we were a party of 3). One of us had never eaten Ethiopian, and I think he's a fan now.
Best Ethiopian in DC! I take all my out of town friends here and get a meat combo. Enough food for 2-4 people depending on your appetites! The main serving lady (Esther? Ashtur? is awesome and always welcomes us in with a smile!

Local favorite. Awesome execution of familiar Ethiopian favorites, frequented mostly by the neighborhood folk. The place is small and family run, so don't know expect nothing too fancy.
the mild beef stew was not tender and some beef pieces was still pink and undercooked. It was too salty even with injera. Whole lentils was just okay.
Delicious small place with authentic food and lovely staff. Can fully recommend the vegetarian mix plate and the sweet tea.
