Food and ambience were excellent, however the service could see much improvement. Context: We had a table of 11 people, the reservation was made 2 weeks out. The establishment did a great job making me feel it was something they could handle and worked with me to solidify my group total. They even asked if I needed to add to the group total day of. However, service doesn't stop at arranging the reservations. Coming in, they had the table set but was super crammed. In addition, it was 30 minutes before orders for food or drinks were taken. I came to Gypsy Kitchen to have a relaxing dinner and to catch up with a friend. As always, the food was great and our server, Honor, was amazing. My friend and I hadn't seen each other for a while so we sat there and talked for a few hours. Never once did our server rush us. In fact, we apologized every time she came to the table and she finally told us there was no need. She just didn't want us to feel like she forgot about us. What a great gesture.
We had beef with cous cous, fried Halouni cheese, pea gazpacho, falafel, green goddess salad. Everything was good but pretty salty food here. Salad dressing didn't have much flavor. Crab with falafel didn't work for me, but the falafel was good. Beef was very rare, which I like. Excellent service. Very full and noisy on a Monday night.
Came here to celebrate my birthday. Great spot for small groups , who want to enjoy elevated tapas. I was initially concerned about portion size but my friend and I shared four plates : prawns, lamb hummus, fried chicken crispy cauliflower. All dishes were excellent . Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The food is outstanding, especially the mussels. I'll go back just for those, they are that good! Our server was fantastic. Despite a full restaurant, she was attentive, friendly, and very accommodating.
The chicken was fabulous. It was probably the best I ever had. And our waiter was just fabulous. Absolutely enjoyed the dinner.
Always excellent food, service, and ambiance! Bring back the duck prosciutto please!
