I recently traveled here in Melbourne for tour and to visit my future sis-in-law so she brought me here to satisfy our craving for Pinoy food--good choice! The food is like your typical carinderia/canteen variety--lots of choices to choose from(too bad Binagoongan was not on the list that time). You can have combo(combination choice if dishes typical in Philippine canteens) meals plus the drink--roughly equal to regular meals in the other small restaurants near CBD. They also have a small grocery with of course, Pinoy products! The best part of going to this not-so-near and definitely off the central area place is that it's Pinoy food with the typical excellent Pinoy hospitality! Thanks for the...

The setup is a typical Philippine takeaway fast food restaurant, with ready to eat meals on hot plates and deserts/sweets on the side.We frequent here for Philippine favourites like the kare-kare (stewed oxtail in peanut sauce), nilagang baka (stewed beef), sinampalukang manok (chicken in tamarind soup base) and pork barbeque. They also have menu items. $10.50 for a cup of rice and a cup for each two viands and a can of softdrinks seem to be a plenty; sometimes with an extra rice i share the two cups of viand to my wife or with our three kids.Halu halo which is a mixture of preserved fruits, red beans, yam paste and custard with milk and crushed ice is popular and as expected is sweet. The s...

This restaurant is actually a cafe with seating for about 18 plus an attached grocery store. The staff were friendly and helpful.I had pork on skewers; others in my group had beef tapa, lumpia (large spring rolls that were not served hot - unusual and not to my taste as I don't like cold lumpia!) and another meat dish.Filipino drinks were available: I enjoyed a Del Monte Four Seasons drink along with a mango juice. The cost: A$40 for four - very reasonable. Not Michelin star rated but a simple place that had a constant stream of patrons even though it closes ridiculously early at 2100 hours.

Delicious food and excellent service from a female staff "Roggie". Very accommodating and hospitable. Place with lots of different and great Filipino dishes. Combo food (BBQ pork and rice with drinks) is a good choice but it could had been better if the meat has been cook on a charcoal. Dessert choices are also very good specially halo-halo, sticky rice cake and custard. Happy to travel from Templestowe to Cairnlea for lunch. Food smells really good and happy to eat them...yummy!!!.
