Whenever I visit different cities, I enjoy going to diners and cafes. Kings coffee in Chelmsford is one of the best in terms of service, quality, and affordability. I always make sure to stop by a few times during my visit for a delicious latte and a hearty full English breakfast. The cafe is conveniently located in the shopping district and has a cozy atmosphere. The staff is friendly, the food is consistently delicious and served hot. They are also willing to customize dishes to your preferences. Overall, I always leave Kings coffee satisfied with my experience.
I went to the restaurant today and ordered tea and a bacon sandwich. It was the worst bacon sandwich I've ever had, and the tea tasted like fish water - probably due to cheap tea bags. The toast wasn't even cooked properly. I complained to the man at the till, who called the chef. The chef came out with a half-hearted smile that made me want to poke him in the eye. I paid £6.50 for this disappointing meal, and I won't be returning to this restaurant. It used to be good, but not anymore.
Traditional cafe Average service . Simple menu with average price point Breakfast Egg overcooked and rubbery. sausages not what expected not a breakfast type sausage. Poached eggs on toast with avocado Poached eggs really good. avocado ok. Bread not very good? Good quality ingredients available no excuse for using poor quality ingredients Bread /Sausage??. And if you can’t do a fried egg don’t do a English breakfast Would definitely not use again
Not very nice at all. Can not do chicken sandwiches as the chicken is frozen and they only put in a salad!! But can do other sandwiches. Had a sausage baguette which cost £7.50. A full English breakfast does not cost much more. Extremely over priced. Thick chocolate milkshake is just a normal milkshake and not much chocolate. So basically vanilla!!

This traditional café located at the end of the town's high street offers pleasant service and a simple menu at good prices. I would definitely visit again. There is seating available both inside and outside, with an upstairs seating area that is open at different times. The café attracts a nice mix of customers.

I've been going here since I was a kiddie. Amazing food. Great price. The staff are always excellent top service.
Fast friendly service, great value. Very popular as the cafe was very full with locals....always a good sign.
