three of us enjoyed dinner on a busy Tuesday this week during the winter restaurant week, and we are already planning our return trip. two of us have ordered the limited RW menu, one from the regular menu. we shared tasting our appetizers, main thing and desserts, so that thoughts are unanimous: excellent eating, the appetizing of cuddly butter with spinat, and baked woof soup. the mains contain trout with mangles, salmon in a puff cage, and calf shoulder stew. for desserts, two could be deposited on apple cake with vanilla ice cream and one on dark chocolate mousse. service was attentive and professional, the meal comfortably occupied, and the menu simply screamed come back, there is much m...
No restaurant in the Washington DC area provides a more authentic French dining experience than La Chaumiere. The menu offers familiar French specialties such as steak and frites and rack of lamb, as well as less commonly found delights as choucrute garni, ris de veau and cassoulet. The decor is "pretty French farmhouse with rough-hewn wooden columns, a stone fireplace in the center of dining room, and old-fashioned farm implements on the walls
We were looking forward to a wonderful meals in a relaxed atmosphere. What we observed and experienced was not conducive to relaxation. Waiters were running around because there were not enough of them and the kitchen was slow. We waited almost minutes for the main course to appear. However the food was wonderful
First time dining here. I am a sucker for a Michelin restaurant. With that said… this restaurant reminded me of every excellent meal I had in France. From the first greeting to the final drink… thank you. I will be back Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Very much like a true French Bistro. Outstanding sweetbreads. Attentive service given a very busy Saturday night. Overall, an enjoyable outing that we will repeat
