We spent a very pleasant time in this establishment. The welcome is very warm, we arrived on late (14h30 past, and they still accepted us for a little late lunch. The dishes are very good, simple, generous; their potatoes with sarladaises are delicious and accompanied by duck magret, this is the perfect combination!! Excellent value for money, and just at the foot of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle Castle!
All nine of us enjoyed our lunches and beers in this lovely terrace restaurant on the grounds of Chateau de Castlenaud. The 'tartar sauce ' accompanying the hamburgers is wonderful. Nothing akin to the condiment served with fish in the US, but more like a whipped, herbed creme fraiche. In addition to the food and service, the views can 't be beat.
We were all hot, tired and hungry after our wonderful trip to the chateau and thought we'd give this restaurant a try. The food was delicious, great choice and reasonably priced with friendly staff who were very helpful despite being very busy. We were relaxed and not rushed and enjoyed a fabulous lunch and a welcome rest! Highly recommended.
Highly recommended, we had lunch here as a party of six and all of us had the set menu and we were not disappointed. This was great quality food for a good price. Staff were attentive and friendly and we enjoyed the spectacular views of the valley. If you are happy to pay €15 for a two course meal I would recommend.
like most people we popped in after a visit to the chateau the setting is lovely with good views we had a couple of beers and a bite to eat, good service and friendly staff well recommended.
