I really liked the concept of this restaurant, and the menu was quite intriguing. We started with the fried deviled eggs, but unfortunately, they weren't to our liking. They were too dry, and the thick, flavorless breading really needed a sauce or something to enhance them. I ordered the fried chicken, which was decent, but I recommend getting an extra side of syrup for dipping. The gravy, however, was not impressive at all. My partner had the Chicken Cordon Bleu with mashed potatoes instead of rice, but he wasn't really impressed given the price; it was just okay and not something he'd want to order again. Restaurant is pet friendly and they even have their own menu! The food was good and flavorful and the staff was very nice and helpful. The house lemonade is good and the best part is that you get free refills. The Caesar Salad had a twist to it that didn’t make it taste like your average salad, overall it was still good. I will definitely be coming back to try new items off their menu. Got the All American burger which the sauce is like a spicy thousand islands.
Came for brunch on a Sunday and the place was not packed as we were seated right away. Since it was our first time at this location, the waitress was so kind and gave us a complimentary starter. The strawberry lemonade is good and so are the cajun fries. For my main entrée I ordered the chicken parmesan with pasta and unfortunately it was lacking lots of flavor. I enjoyed the cajun fries a lot more. I would be back but just for drinks and appetizers.
The restaurant is one of a kind.. The service, Food , drinks are all great on every level. We live in Santa Monica and visiting my mother in Downey. We ended up looking for a different place without loud music playing. And what a great restaurant this is!!!! We would love something like this in Santa Monica, especially with the way craft beer is going. Everyone loves different beer now a days! Love this restaurant and can't wait to go back

I can say I enjoyed my lunch at Lazy Dog in Downey! The food was great and the service was excellent!! Our waiter was very attentive and personable. To top it off the manager (Brandon) even visited our table and gave us a free appetizer, due to it being our first time there! I had the Sesame-Crusted Ahi Tuna with cauliflower mash and veggies. DELICIOUS!! Highly recommend!
Great place for Happy Hour. We ordered the Wok fried calamari and Cajun fries from the happy hour menu. Both were delish. Hubby and I also split the ribs, which they served on separate plates. Also enjoyed that. For dessert, we had the butter cake and banana pudding. Both were good, but the butter cake was a little dry. It was better the last time I had it.
Had a great experience at lazy dog. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and helpful! Our server took the time to help us decide on what plate we wanted to order. We were accommodated since we were a big party. The manager was also very helpful and attentive. The food was great, I enjoyed the meatloaf. Definitely recommend and will be coming back.
This is my child's favorite place to eat. The service is always quick, and the food is reliably tasty! I truly appreciate that. They also have $10 dinner boxes that are incredibly good. Her apple cake with ice cream is outstanding as well! It’s a wonderful restaurant with welcoming staff—truly fantastic!

Great place to grab a drink and get some good wholesome food. We went because they partner with local schools. My daughter got a free kids meal for being awesome. Also, they have really really good **** Mary's with bacon, cucumber, and olives. Highly recommended.Food: 5/5
