Each course was presented beautifully and came with its own story. Shaun Quade is truly a culinary genius, and the open kitchen allowed me to witness his brilliance firsthand. I've always been a fan of the Press Club, but Lume has now taken its place as my absolute favorite restaurant.
The menu featured remarkable dishes like the sea corn taco, smoked potato with salmon and carrot honey, and calamari on seabed bread with smoked eel butter, as well as dry smoked duck drizzled with olive oil and ice mushroom sticks with sugar vanilla bean. A gem hidden away from Melbourne CBD a beautiful restaurant with a warm atmosphere, attentive staff and delicious food. We dined on the Blossom Season tasting menu and enjoyed it from start to finish. There were a great selection of white and red wines which matched the food very well, and the yuzu soda was refreshing to have with dessert. The staff were polite, friendly and gave us plenty of time between courses with the chefs bringing out a couple of the plates in person. Will return to try other seasonal menus.
What an incredible dining experience... the food, wine flight and service were outstanding. We've eaten 2 Michelin in the UK, and Lûmé was at least equal to that, if not better. Very good presentation of food. We liked the potato chip with filling that looks like oyster. One can not make out that, what looks like a shell is made from potato. One of us was veg and the matched every dish but made a veg version of it. Really awesome experience.

It was an incredible culinary experience! The chef created beautifully artistic dishes, each one more exquisite than the last. Our French server, Alex, stole the show with his charming humor and witty descriptions, making the meal even more enjoyable.
