I had a delightful Mexican food experience at this small Mad Mex location in Southern Cross Station, Melbourne. The highlight of the menu is the amazing naked burritos, which boast a perfect balance of ingredients, flavors, and portion size. Don't forget to add guacamole to your burrito for an extra kick. The combination of black beans and chicken fillings creates a delicious base. I also tried the nachos, which were topped with a rich cheese sauce and high-quality chips. Overall, this is a fantastic spot to enjoy Mexican cuisine and I can't wait to go back and try more dishes.
By fast food standards, I have always maintained that Mad Mex is leaps and bounds ahead of other franchises in freshness and taste. Somehow whenever I eat a giant, saucy burrito from here I never end up feeling like I just consumed all of Mexico. The food is arguably better than most Mexican restaurants; the cheese and sauce portioning is not out of control and the ingredients are discernible. Not just muck you know? Should have given Mad Mex the recognition they deserve many years ago.
I have always had a soft corner for this place. This is just round the corner from my office and I fall back on their burritos whenever I am in the mood for some comfort food. The naked burrito has brown rice, black beans, mild salsa, tomato, lettuce, chicken, corn, fresh cream and chorizo. I like the quesadillas as well but this one I can have anytime any day. Absolutely love it!

I ordered nachos from Mad Mex today. The serving size was a lot bigger than expected. They are quite generous with the toppings and there's a lot to choose from. I ended up having beef, cheese, avocado, medium salsa and lettuce. I didn't mind it but I prefer their tacos.
Do like the nachos and it is placed at a very convenient area as it’s close to the station. I do like to take away as a quick lunch though it can be busy during lunchtime though times I do eat at the place. A good variety as well on offer.
Mad Mex is amazing. I stop by almost every day after school for a regular burrito - it may be small, but it's extremely satisfying. I highly recommend anyone with a few minutes before their train to grab a burrito from here.
The first time I bought naked burritos from here, just loved it. Whenever I crave for Mexican food, I always go to any nearby Mad Mex. All of the franchises offer the same amount and the taste is the same, which is amazing!

Love coming here before I head off for the train. The crunchy and soft flour tacos are fantastic especially covered in salsa. Only thing is I wish they added thicker cheese as the texture is a lot like Parmesan.
