July 2017. we went there for breakfast towards our holiday destination. It is a small coffee shop paired with a bistro-like restaurant located in the old St-Jean. lunches are rich and tasty and their coffee of very good quality. breakfasts are served until 3:00 p.m. (at least Monday). service is fast and courteous. If you are of the salt type, I suggest you order the "saut vlees" with the eggs instead of the traditional ham. This is a German recipe for beef in artisanal salination, potatoes, onions and spices. Beautiful little restaurant with Belgian specialities.Sew of waffles, salads, homemade meat bread and extraordinary lemonades. the portions are large and the very reasonable price. Located near the locks the veranda offers a very beautiful panorama.The desserts are delicious to try absolutely with the mountain of whipped cream to share or not!The service is efficient and courteous. A nice little shop has the entrance sell coffee teas and small decoration items quite charming. A classic that we like to revisit often.
a long time ago I had not visited the Manneken-Pis recognized for its excellent coffee and its very good desserts. We ordered salads and a quiche. all were satisfied. My seafood salad was very good. The service is very good and the friendly staff. The only fault is the noise. I don't know what they could do to improve acoustics, in order to reduce ambient noise.
If you are passing to St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, you should not miss stopping at the terrace of Manneken-Pis to sip the excellent pineapple lemonade while admiring the rich river just across the street. and why not complete all with one of their delicious salads or tartines (sandwich).
