I used to really enjoy Medium Rare, but both the service and the consistency of the food have significantly declined over the past year. My son received a tough, gristly piece of meat, and our own dishes were all overcooked. The server only checked in on us well after it was too late to address these issues. The replacement meat was better, but it took an unusually long time to arrive. With such a straightforward menu, one would expect that good service and consistency could still be maintained, but that's no longer the case at Medium Rare in Bethesda, unfortunately. We had a reservation for 6 PM, so it wasn’t crowded, which shouldn’t have been a problem.
This was my first time dining at the Bethesda location after enjoying several meals at the Cleveland Park restaurant. My experience was very similar - a delightful meal, well-prepared and delicious food served by friendly and attentive staff. It's easy to communicate how you like your steak cooked, then sit back and enjoy. They offer a decent selection of wines, and the steak is always cooked perfectly to our liking (medium rare). The fries are crispy and well-seasoned, the salad fresh with a tasty vinaigrette, and warm bread is served throughout the meal with seconds available.
A very unique place. Prix fixe with one choice on the menu. The steaks were very good and cooked to order and the special sauce was tasty. The fries were great crisp and thin. Without even asking, we were served a second portion of the steak and fries. So even though the steak isn 't the biggest I 've had the two that you get certainly make it worthwhile. I had the key lime pie for dessert and it was a nice sized piece of pie with a lot of whipped cream. Very tasty. If you 're in the mood for what 's on the menu then I would very much recommend Medium Rare.
This is our favorite spot in town. Manager Vanessa always makes us feel at home and makes sure we are taken care of. Some of these reviews are absolutely bizarre and seem to have some sort of agenda. The restaurant is tremendous and a great value. There is a reason they are always busy. See you Sunday for brunch.

Good food?.nice brunch spot with bottomless mimosas. It was just something about the food presentation that reminded me of ihop. The desserts had a nice presentation but the actual food reminded me of ihop a little bit. Even the plates?but other than that it?s a great place to go and the price is good too.
The service was a bit rushed; the salad arrived first, followed by the bread, and then the wine. The portions were very generous, and the prices were reasonable considering the amount of food you get. However, the noise level was quite high. Overall, it was a lot of fun and a great spot for families.
The food here is always excellent. It consistently meets high standards. The steak is tender, the fries are perfectly cooked, the salad is delicious, and the bread is warm and crusty. The wine is reasonably priced as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, even though it was a bit noisy.
Brunch was price right... and taste good considering your locked into the one option once you choose your dish... you've got bottomless mimosas and screwdrivers as well they're a bit watered down but what do you expect... I wa ls there father's day and enjoyed myself in Bethesda

Everybody loves this place. You can just feel it....every table is having a party. I think it's because it's so simple no menu, no crazy amount of choices. Just steak, fries and gravy and a little salad to keep us all honest. Delicious and fun.
experience at Orange Cafe in Paris for years to come. Highly recommend!
