I come from the UK and was looking for good Indian food for a number of years in Melbourne before we found Mehfil, the first time we went from the outside you would not think this place would be that great, but as i entered the smell of the food hit you and i knew we were in for a treat, i have been coming to Mehfil for over 5 years its the best Indian food i have had better than most i have had in the UK, if you like if hot try the vindaloo its fantastic, also the chicken Korma best i have had, being family owned they really care about the food. 5 star.
Went here with set of friends for dinner. The Restuarant has a very average ambience and the food was the same.Ordered mix kebab platter which came with half cooked Malai chicken kebab. Ordered Shahi Daal, gosht and butter chicken. Gosht had no taste so had to ask them to take it back to fix it. Butter chicken just sweet.The only curry was Shahi daal where I could say that it had a value.Not a great experience as first time diner.Won't recommend it at all.
Wow, being a lover of Indian food, I have visited a few different restaurants. This one, however, has amazing food that is priced reasonably. I had the beef madras and because I am so fussy, I checked all of the meat for fat content. NO FAT, just beautifully cooked tasty meat. Not overdone with tomato gravy either. Divine! We will certainly return for another visit.
We discovers this restaurant several years ago & are regulars. (40 min drive for us) The food is authentic & excellent & the lady hostess charming & delightful. It is hard to recommend anything as we have had most of the items on the menu & all are superb. Note we like our food "upna style" ( authenically hot & spicy ). Booking essential, highly recommended. I have been visiting this restaurant for 15 years. Sadly recently I have thought the quality has suffered and when requesting medium spice we have ended up with milder than a baby could handle....or so spicy that it was ridiculous.Tonight the meals were absolutely superb! The spice was spot on and the chicken was so tender. I am back in love with Mehfil!!!
I have been eating at this restaurent for many years, the Owners have it pat.the lamb chops are fantastic and the mixed tandoori platter is really good.it is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. the quality is always the same. the mixed vege curry is just the best.
I know this restaurant from 1997 and they have great curries . I went all around the world but never forgot this family run restaurant . Owner and his wife put their heart in their business and provide v personalise service . Cheese naan bread is a must try .
Booked for 4 people on Saturday night. Im not much of an Indian food fan, but absolutely loved the Super Banquet. Variety of dishes, beautifully presented, and yummy!Family run, excellent service. Pleasent environment, neat and clean.. Will definately return. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Best Indian food around the area. Extremely authentic restaurant with great service. They will cater for whatever you fancy.
