If you're looking for a bite to eat at a chain restaurant in this area, M C is the better option between the two. I've been dining here for a while and always receive a friendly welcome. The food is consistently good, although nothing extraordinary since it is a chain restaurant. However, it seems like the staff are paid enough to care about the quality of the food they serve. It's a great spot for post-cycle meals, unlike the neighboring Rotting Fox Roadkill Raven. Make sure not to mix up these two places, or you may end up regretting it.
The food at this restaurant is fantastic. I ordered the 12oz. ribeye and it was one of the best steaks I have ever had. Although I would have given this place a 5-star rating, the service was slow and unfriendly. Despite this, the food and atmosphere were excellent and I would not hesitate to return. It's possible that our server was just having a bad night.
As an American visiting my boyfriend in Chelmsford, he took me to this restaurant. I have dined at many fancy steakhouses in the US, but it was flying across the pond that led me to the best steak I have ever had. I ordered the T-bone with porcini steak sauce and it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be returning the next time I visit England!
This is a nice place, but perhaps overpriced for lunch ? The staff did everything they could to be helpful patient and professional, the food was nice despite he previous comment about price. The only thing they did not resolve was being able to leave my partners car in the car beyond our visit to be able to go shopping together.

Went for a steak dinner and everything was perfect. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Both food and drinks arrived quickly. Food was so good, steak cooked to perfection. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing brunch here for a friends birthday and had Maja as our waitress, amazing service and great atmosphere, lovely food and delicious desserts. Would recommend x

Came here last week, quite busy for a Tuesday but food came out in decent time and the server Jodi was lovely and attentive.
