My husband and daughter went into the store at 881 Main Street in Sayreville, NJ. We frequent this store as it is less than a mile from our house. I am currently 4 months pregnant and asked my husband to pick up some chocolate for me. Of course her obliged and went in with our 5 yr old daughter. He just informed me that when he brought the items to the register the cashier asked him why didn't he pick up some strawberries and caramel instead. He responded that it was none of her business what he was buying. She then responded that she didn't mean it like that. Needless to say, that is extremely rude and unprofessional! Weekday mornings never seem to have an issue. Fast and friendly service. Coffee is fresh and the deli looks clean. I eat from it I'm picky. The afternoons are ok too. The younger employees could use improvement with attitude know what is not appropriate to talk about at work. Except the big black kid that works register in the afternoons. Very friendly polite. Also he seems professional when it comes to dealing with customers. Overnights are a little slow but that's understandable. I spent $15 and I need a refund! I ordered a grilled cheese with tomato and bacon, adding extra mozzarella and American cheese. The sandwich was soggy and looked like a disaster. It also didn’t have any bacon or mozzarella. While waiting for my food, I noticed at least half a dozen sub rolls on the counter where food is picked up, and they had mold on them. It was gross. Please refund my money, and I hope the management addresses these issues with the owner immediately.
I’ve noticed a decline in the quality of service lately. The breakfast sandwiches are served cold, and the coffee is also not warm. When I asked the staff about it, they seemed unsure of what to say. It’s disappointing, especially since I’ve been a regular customer for over 30 years. It feels like I've now ended up at a WAWA, and it's truly a shame. Super disappointed as of today. Usually come here a few times a week because it?s on the way to my job to grab a breakfast sandwich or something. Never coming back after today though because this is atleast the 4th time in a matter of 2 months that they messed up my sandwich. Can?t enjoy my chicken BLT sandwich without the bacon and I definitely can?t enjoy my sausage and egg sandwich without onion. Such a shame. ????????????????
The quality of the sandwiches was disappointing. The sandwiches were only half-filled with meat and ingredients, even though they were advertised as 12 inches. The presentation was messy for the two sandwiches I ordered, which were over $20. I won’t be returning for sandwiches here again. I’m very disappointed.
A great place for Cigs, Soda, but if you're looking for a sandwich, it's a ****. Sometimes they have bread, sometimes not? You should really knock this store down and build a larger one with the state of the art cooking.
