My colleagues had been raving about the infamous Honey Butter sandwich at Roaming Rooster, so that had definitely built up the anticipation in my mind. Overall I would say that it tasted good but my sandwich was much much oiler than the others made in the same order.As it was a chicken spot, I also tried the whole chicken wings; and unfortunately I found them to be massively over seasoned and I could barely finish one.The fries were also not so much to my liking. I ordered the Honey Butter crispy chicken sandwich with extra hot seasoning, along with fries and a drink. Let me tell you, it was the BEST SEASONED chicken sandwich I’ve ever tasted—perfectly salty, sweet, buttery, and spicy! If you can handle spicy food, I highly recommend ordering it extra hot; it had just the kick I was looking for! The sandwich was loaded with about three pieces of chicken—definitely not skimping on portions, and it was worth every penny. Absolutely delicious! I’m giving Roaming Roosters 4 stars because the fries were not worth the extra charge. While the sandwich justified the price, I felt the fries and drink didn’t add any value. So my advice? We mainly go for takeout, but its delicious. The fries are great, the chicken is crispy, and the slaw is spicy and unique. I like the mayo they serve with the fries, too. It's always really quick and still hot by the time we get home. Roaming Rooster is our favorite chicken sandwich place in the area. I usually like the most basic sandwich there but the one with honey is actually remarkably delicious .Parking: Kind of tight lot but never had a problem getting a space.
The sandwich was amazing. Was in NE for a community event and finished around lunch time so wanted to stop here. Parking spaces available. We walked in with no line. I ordered the honey butter chicken sandwich medium, fries, and oreo shake. Another order was the wings and fries. Food took maybe 15 minutes. We found out one order of fries could've feed two of us. I absolutely loved this chicken sandwich! Everything about it was delicious, from the flavorful bun to the homemade slaw on the chicken, and the pickles were the perfect finishing touch. If I lived in DC, I would become a regular at this place, but it will definitely be one of my go-to restaurants whenever I'm in the city.
I've only eaten in at this restaurant, but the chicken is really delicious. I typically go for the honey butter option, but I haven't heard anything negative from others who have tried different dishes. The prices are reasonable, especially for a place in DC. The tater tots are great as well!
The honey butter chicken tastes amazing. The OG Nashville is also tasty. The customer service is great. I had an issue with my order and they addressed it immediately. Im overall satisfied with the quality, price, and customer service for the Bladensburg location.

You get a good size portion meal for a little less than $20. The fries are fresh and the honey butter chicken is addictive!
