"Great afternoon even in the rain, especially as it cleared up by late afternoon. Lovely cafe which we enjoyed before going round the reserve. Saw lots of Snipe, Cormorants, swans, Marsh harriers and sparrowhawk. The mumeration was cool."

Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the RSPB staff, who asked if I had anything specific I wanted to see and provided helpful advice about the best spots within the reserve. The main area features several large hides that offer excellent views over the lagoons and reedbeds. There are information boards and notices throughout the site, ensuring you won’t miss any important details. I enjoyed a lovely lunch at the onsite café, where I had pie and peas, and I also noticed a very good shop. The dedicated onsite staff deserve high praise for their work in maintaining the reserve. The Skytower viewing platform provides breathtaking views across much of the area. During my visit, I spotted a va...

Run by the RSPB, this location is an excellent spot for observing both local and migratory wildlife, especially birds. The main visitor center features a shop, café, and parking area, which can get quite crowded on pleasant days, so it's best to arrive early. Most of the observation hides are wheelchair accessible. If you have binoculars, be sure to bring them; however, you can also rent or purchase them at the shop. Pond dipping kits are available for hire as well. Regular guided walks can be booked online and are definitely worth it if you're looking to learn more. School groups also frequently visit for educational trips, which are well-received by children.

Great experience, not only a great cause but also educational. We visited in early March and although we couldn't experience and see everything it was still very enjoyable and a great trip out (also got up close with a Robin who was very photogenic . The shop has loads of different things to chose from, from binoculars, keyrings and even mugs. With it being a rainy day we went to the cafe for a brew and a little treat, I'm sorry to the lovely staff as we stood there for ages as the options were too hard to chose from, so I highly recommend! Great for the family and kids and even the four legged friends as theirs a dog route also.

Absolutley beautiful reserve with long walks in all directions available. I loved the watch tower where you can see out over the reserve and spot your favourite birds. We'll maintained paths and boardwalks. Dog access is restricted due to the nature of the place. Beautiful garden area with ponds for a wander around. Large car park with plenty of space just across the road. Toilets available along with a donation box if visiting out of hours. Really enjoyed visiting here and will definitely be back again. Absolutely beautiful place and we'll maintained. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Wonderful place for families with children and not only. If you come by train, with the train tickets, it's half price entrance, it use to be for free before the lockdown. Coffee place inside is very nice with very polite staff. Bird nature reserve it's just like a paradise, will endless paths to discover, huge variety of wildlife birds, insects and plants. Very clean and nicely maintained. We had wonderful day out and will definitely come back for more.

Easter Weekend and it was busy . Good to see families with their kiddies out. Dogs on leash are allowed around the perimeter, just not in the garden walk areas or hides. We used 4 of the hides, which are all neat and clean. Picnic tables in the garden and a Cafe above the shop. We had lovely Soup.. cake!. Cafe closes at 3pm. Second hand books on sale too. Our total bird species count was 54 for the day!

A great place to visit. I'm a novice when it comes to bird watching, but managed to see a Bittern and 4 Marsh Harriers passing food mid flight. All the hides are easily accessible even with mobility scooters (which are available to hire at the venue). Great cafe and visitors shop. We'll worth a visit

Very friendly staff who were happy to keep an eye on our bikes while we had coffee and cake. Lovely cafe upstairs, with a good selection of food and drink. A shame there isn't a big picture window, or outside seating a balcony would be amazing. We'll definitely be back. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Great place for a stroll, completely flat and very accessible. The staff were enthusiastic and friendly, and it wasn't too crowded on a bank holiday Monday. There were plenty of birds around, though it was easier to hear them than to spot them among the tall reeds.
