This place was sooo good! And the service is wonderful.Because I have a hard time making decisions on food, I got the vegetarian taco, the keto taco and the quesobirria taco (which came with a dipping broth I forgot to take a picture of in my haste to eat everything)The vegetarian taco came with soy chorizo) and was so flavorful and delicious.The keto taco came in a grilled cheese type of wrapper and again, was amazing.And finally the quesobirria was fantastic.All and all a new delicious find.(And because I know I was a little confused because I didn't see the sign at first, the place is next to Carnicera Las Glorias)
If anyone is ever in South El Monte or near by, you have to visit TACO SAAS. They make home made corn tortillas that are out of this world! The brisket tacos are mouth watering. Once you are there you have to try the SAAS ATTACK quesadilla, it's their signature dish if you ask me. This will surely be one of my go to restaurants from now on. I love this place!!! Love the beautiful flowers and plants surrounding the front of the restaurant. Excellent friendly customer service.A special young lady told me this is the best place and she is absolutely right. The breakfast burrito was fantastic; the mix of green and red salsa was perfect. However, the horchata tasted more like a watered-down cinnamon shake. I ordered the Jamaica (hibiscus), but I ended up switching that as it wasn't really to my taste. The seating could use some improvement, and the potato wedges were bursting with amazing flavors. Since the restaurant is on a busy street, be ready for some noise. I can definitely see myself returning for the food, and perhaps I'll try a different drink next time.
The birria was lacking in flavor. I ordered quesabirrias, and the guy assured me they were 8-inch tortillas, but they turned out to be quite small. I asked for chiles, but they never arrived. And let's not even talk about the prices. We had a large group, and everyone had their own orders, all of which came with some criticism. This place really needs to improve, and fast.

First of all, I love supporting local communities. With this said, on my lunch hour I enjoy walking to this gem and spending my time and money on a good meal, great friendly service, and something kinda quick. They exceed on all of that! Delicious food. I'll often have them make me a burrito to go, and I'll have it for dinner at home. Highly recommend!
Thank you for hosting our wedding on November 3, 2023. The tacos were incredible! Everyone enjoyed them so much that they went back for seconds. I also want to express my gratitude to your wife, who was extremely helpful in addressing all my questions and concerns. She was especially attentive and proactive when the venue needed anything.
When in El Monte/South El Monte, come support Taco Saas! We tried asada, pastor, brisket, chicharrón verde the quesabirria!! We loved ALL of them! Come visit Ray his amazing team! We will definitely be back!
Service was awesome! Very nice and attentive. The Saas Attack is it that's delicious for the price it's huge. Wife got pastor I got asada and the wife is picky but we will definitely be back!
