This place has been around for a long time but I didn't have a chance to visit till now.We came at around 11am and it was well stocked. They were still bringing things out but most spots were already filled with food. They have so many items if you have problems deciding what to eat, don't come here. You will be in here for HOURS. Believe me I wanted to get everything like bentos, pudding, sushi etc. But I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it all.We ended up getting amaebi shrimp, yakisoba set, mini unagi don, croquette sandwich and fruits with white chocolate. I recently tried out Takeya Sushi, and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant offers a wide range of tasty Japanese dishes to choose from. What I liked the most was their convenient grab go dishes, perfect for those on the go. The prices are fair, and the food always tasted fresh and flavorful. Ordered the grilled unagi don from their ghost kitchen Grilled Unagi Kitchen . Price is decent at $30 for large . Overall OK. Eel appears to be anago (sea eel and not unagi . Was lacking the smokiness of being actually grilled over charcoal . Could probably benefit from steaming as it was a tad hard and not as fatty . Sauce was a bit too sweet for me and thick but that’s subjective . Overall it was OK but nothing near the quality of the unaju you get in Japan . More fast food anago.
Takeya was our go to place and amazing, even when they went down to just take out since Covid. Our last takeout meal was not the same and expensive… Our California roll was cold as if they took it out of the fridge. They do have a walk in takeout from the fridge, but when you make an order you expect it to be fresh. They do not give you the fresh pickled ginger, it comes in a small pre-made package. We got the Unagi don and udon set but the girl who put in and gave my order did not only give me the wrong don set, she also did not separate the soup from my udon. She gave us a CHICKEN don instead of an UNAGI don and she just left the noodles to soak and inflate. The service was ok but honestly if they keep getting orders wrong like this I would strongly reconsider coming to this place.
Wow that was the least amount of food for the most money I had in a while.The smallest ebi tempura I have ever seen, 4pcs for $10 is a crazy price!And those sushi rolls are the skinniest I have ever seen as well.Food was tasty, but about half of the size it should be for that price!
Really enjoy this place, only recently discovered it. Have lots of different things to eat, but my favorite is the musubi . Haven't found anything close to Hawaii musubi, but this is definitely the closest. I will definitely be back! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
