Our experience at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. We waited 45 minutes for a starter that should have taken 15 minutes. The staff repeatedly lied to us about when our food would be served and even changed their minds about the availability of certain items. When we questioned the manager about this, we were called liars. Many other customers also left due to poor service and long wait times, despite the restaurant being half empty at 12:30 pm. One elderly lady had to wait 10 minutes just to get a menu, and was told to get one herself by a member of staff. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and efficient, and the service was quick. The restaurant itself was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. However, we found the menu to be limited and not as good as on previous visits. The food options were standard pub fare like fish and chips, pies, sausage, and steak. While the dishes were well presented and tasty, they lacked creativity and innovation. If you're looking for something unique or different, this might not be the place for you. However, if you're seeking a filling meal without the hassle of cooking, Canal Turn provides a decent option. We booked a table on here for 8.45pm and had driven that afternoon down from london. We were famished and thirsty. There was a table available for that time so we were excited to eat but when we arrived at the canal turn, admittedly seven minutes late, the kitchen was closed and they weren't able to serve us. Very disappointed and hungry we left. This place had been recommended to us by friends. Recommendations for the canal turn would be to check open table for bookings before closing your kitchens or have an earlier time limit on last bookings. The place did look warm and homely though.

Mothers day booking for 5, table had been given to others so had to wait. Hardly any real ale as they had run out by 1.30pm. No gammon left by 1.30pm No ham left by 1.30pm. Jacket potatoe felt and looked like it was fridays. All in all very poor show Canal Turn. You should have anticipated many guests as warm weather and Mothers Day. Could have at least sent someone across the road to Tesco to re-stock on gammon ham?

I would recommend this pub for a nice relaxing drink. The food was ok but they had a few issues with time scales getting food out but the staff did everything to make sure we were kept informed and were very apologetic and also provided some complimentary drinks for the wait. So all in all I would recommend and would visit again myself .

Amazing food from the best restaurant in Carnforth. We absolutely adore this place. It has become our go-to spot for delicious food and drinks. Special thanks to Marcus James for transforming this hidden treasure into a wonderful establishment where friends can gather, eat, and have a great time.

My wild boar burger was very nice. My friends all had roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. The beef was pretty awful. And who serves up just half a Yorkshire pudding, giant or otherwise?

Nice place to meet with the family with a view of the canal. Staff very helpful and friendly. No pressure to go, we were there for several hours. We'll be back.

Perfect place to take your family dog : not many places are dog friendly so this pub is ideal and the staff are friendly and welcomong too.
