Ever since falling in love with proper Hawaiian poke a few years ago, I've been on the hunt for good (semi- traditional Hawaiian food that doesn't come with a $1K plane ticket. Tiki Taco has absolutely filled this niche with their poke; unlike the poke we generally find on mainland US, their poke just has rice and fish. The hot, slightly sticky rice pairs perfectly with the huge chunks of cool salmon or tuna, flavored with a variety of mix-ins. I usually opt for their traditional blend, but it does err a touch salty, so I would recommend bringing a bottle of water with you or ordering their Hawaiian shaved ice to round out the meal. This place is phenomenal! It’s July right now, I went here back in February (just visiting DC)and I think about these tacos all the time!! When we were in DC I ate here every single day of our stay. Today my husband said we are going to be within 100 miles of Tiki Taco (so obvi we are going) and I’ve been drooling all day thinking about it!! I’m a vegetarian, I tried all of the veg friendly tacos (lots of choices) and they were all amazing but the oyster mushroom tacos are life changing. My husband is a meat eater and says the meat was succulent and tender, says he couldn’t choose a favorite they were all so delicious. Love love love Tiki Taco!!!
The atmosphere in the restaurant was great, and we received a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. The menu offered an excellent variety, making it easy to find options for both our son and my vegan wife. The food was delicious, and we will likely dine here again before we conclude our visit to Washington.
We found Tiki Taco while participating in the Museum Walking Tour. It was very muggy that day and the Hawaiian shaved ice was so refreshing! We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was Top Notch. Will definitely be going back soon! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We ate these tacos so fast we didn’t have time to take a photo. We had the Peneolo beef, pork and spicy chicken. DELICIOUS and great portion. I usually eat 3 tacos but could only eat 1.5. MAHALO!
The person at the counter was incredibly friendly. The portion sizes were excellent for the price, and everything was delicious. I would give it a 10/10 and will definitely return when I'm in DC!
I really loved the flavors of the oyster mushroom, the crispy sesame tofu, and the blackened salmon tacos!

The tacos are delicious, they are huge, highly recommend jerk chicken and pork belly.
