I was in this place last night with my girlfriend and had quite a great experience, I loved the illuminated ambience of this restaurant, the stand near the sushi bar and the feeling and surroundings of this place. We ordered the spicy chicken dumplings as an app along with the miso soup and both were delicious! On our entrees, she ordered the General Tsaos Chicken, I ordered the Thai coconut Curry Cashew shrimp, spicy tuna reel, spider roll and the crispy king's crab reel. I ate ALOT from Sushi in my life and for places in Iowa this was some of the best sushi I had in this state without question! The best Asian cuisine we’ve ever had. The best part? Staff was incredibly kind and beyond friendly. Our waiter made adjustments to our orders and provided us with what we needed. The food was even better! Every dish was mouth watering. The flavors danced in your mouth. We had a couple picky eaters in our group of 7 and even they liked it. The worst part? I don’t live closer to enjoy this restaurant more often.
Wasabi chi never disappoint. Staffs were friendly and the food were really good. I ordered sushi and sashimi and it was super good. Green salad and squid salad is also very good. The good thing about Wasabi chi is that they serve more than just sushi. They have ramen noodles and Japanese/Chinese food. Whatever you are in the mood for I bet they probably have. The atmosphere was decent.
Fav sushi spot in Johnston! I literally always order the same thing: Marilyn Monroll, spicy edamame, and white tuna nigiri. Their white tuna is the BEST white tuna I’ve ever had and I am a sushi connoisseur. Freaking delicious! It is definitely a little overpriced but it’s really good for when you want to splurge.
This was my first time ever eating here. I've passed this place thousands of times before some friends invited me to come here and I am happy they did. If you love sushi, if you love Asian cuisine, if you love a pleasant dining experience then I would encourage you to come and enjoy a wonderful meal at Wasabi Chi.
In Des Moines training with the USPS. My trainer Mike recommended this place for Sushi. Great recommendation, good Ramen and Sushi. The Takoyaki was different than I had before with a kinda BBQ smell and taste. But I was very happy with this recommendation.
Met friends for dinner in a group of 8. Great service and very accoodating for the group. Our foods were prepared and delivered at the same time and separate controls had no problem.
I love the foods and the great atmosphere here. Try their mussels appetizer and the spicy ramen noodles with char siu!!!
Love this place!! The vibe is great for a sushi date night. My husband and I were here a few times. Never disappointed.
