House 406 - Tisch reservieren

I had no idea this gem existed in Northbrook. I found this spot from a Facebook group and this was recommended for good eats around the North Shore area. I had no expectations coming in and it was fairly easy to book a reservation on Open Table. They have tables for outdoor dining and plenty of indoor dining. I opted for indoor since it's was gettin later and more chilly. Scott was our server and he was so patient with explaining the menu and recommendations. He talked me into getting the raspberry margarita which was definitely unique since the drink arrived with just raspberry ice balls. I happened to be here by complete accident and am so happy I chanced upon the place. Not only did I make great friends at the bar (sitting next to me), I had the privilege of meeting Jen (the owner, across the bar).I had great food, I had great conversations and I had great wine. Everything I came looking for!

I called to inquire about their menu and the person on the phone rudely replied, "we are a restaurant, not a distributor." I had looked up seafood and found their restaurant, so I asked about the price of a pound of snow crab. The service and food both received a score of 1.

They serve big portions and for inexpensive rates. We loved the food a lot and the waiters were very affable and explanatory. I recommend this place.
